Hello, I’m Emily! I’m a communications strategist, social media manager, and copywriter currently working as a Communications Officer on the Media Team at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. Over the last couple of years, I’ve worked to build the bridge between global health research and decision-making to inform health policy action. In this role, I’ve translated complex data into easily understood information to reach a range of audiences.

I’ve held past positions at public media organizations (Cascade PBS and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, NPR member station) which have strengthened my skills in storytelling, collaboration, and community-building.
